Ingredients for onion rings.
- 2 large white onions
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 eggs
- 6 tablespoons of plain flour
- 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs
- 50 ml of milk
- sunflower oil for frying
How to make deep-fried onion rings.
Slice the onions into rings of a width of one centimetre and separate them. Salt with a tablespoon of salt and put them aside for 10 minutes.
Pour eggs into a bowl, add milk and whisk. Pour breadcrumbs into a separate bowl and flour in another.
Coat the onion rings first in the flour, then in the egg and finally in the breadcrumbs.
Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Once oil is warm, place the onion rings on it and fry on a medium heat until golden brown.
Place the fried rings on a plate lined with a paper towel to drain the excess oil from them.
