Sriracha mayonnaise
Sriracha mayonnaise is an easy-to-prepare spicy addition to meat and seafood. It is made by combining mayonnaise with spicy sriracha sauce, lemon juice, salt and garlic. Sriracha sauce is a hot chili sauce from Thailand, characterized by a beautiful light orange colour. It can be used as an addition to seafood, a base for marinades and as the main ingredient of other sauces. This slightly spicy mayonnaise works phenomenally with the following dishes:
- tempura prawns
- fish cakes
- spicy cheese balls
- homemade spring rolls
- mushrooms stuffed with mozzarella
- sweet potato fries
- Mayonnaise: You can use any type of mayonnaise, both the one made with egg yolks and the vegan one will work here.
- Sriracha sauce: This sauce is quite spicy and its addition will give the mild mayonnaise an interesting, slightly spicy flavour.
- Lemon juice: Lemon juice will dilute the thick consistency of mayonnaise. Additionally, lemon juice will help balance the sauce.
- Garlic: The addition of garlic will make the sauce more intense and help it acquire a beautiful garlic aroma.
